The work we do presents a wide range of challenges because we have to know something about many different areas
Maxine “Mickey” Kossoff co-founded Beta Research with her husband, the late Jerry Kossoff. Like most people who own a small business she started out by doing just about everything, including answering phones and coding questionnaires. Gradually, her role evolved into overseeing Beta’s day-to-day internal operations. Testing the publication that eventually became People magazine was a highlight of her work in building the company.
Mickey holds a degree in education from Michigan State University and taught for several years before she and Jerry founded Beta. She enjoys reading, traveling, spending time with family and following Bruce Springsteen.
