Nick FerrariTapped as CEO for Erdos & Morgan

New York, March 18, 2002:
Beta Research Corporation, an industry leader in full service market and media research, today announced Nicholas J. Ferrari as Chief Executive Officer of Erdos & Morgan, a division of Beta Research Corp., focused on the business-to-business community. Mr. Ferrari will replace John J. Bedell who has resigned.

With an extensive background in marketing, communications and research, Ferrari brings to Erdos & Morgan more than 20 years of experience in the business-to-business arena. "We are delighted to have Nick on board. Because of his continuous involvement in new market strategies and tactics and his leadership in both the 'old' and 'new' media, we're very pleased to have someone with Nick's depth of experience lead our team," said Jerome Kossoff, founder and CEO of the parent company.

Ferrari's primary focus as CEO of Erdos & Morgan is to improve the field of knowledge in business-to-business marketing and media research, through both traditional and newly created online methods. "I'm looking forward to working with an already established quality brand, supported by a team of dedicated employees. Erdos & Morgan will continue to strive to provide to its current and prospective clients alike programs, services and methodologies that are invaluable," Ferrari said.

Most recently, Ferrari was Vice President, Chief Marketing Officer for DMIND Corporation, a developer of e-business infrastructure software and Web development services for Fortune 500 clients, where he successfully collaborated in the launch of DMIND offices in Japan and Korea. Ferrari had overseen marketing, sales, business development, client services, and design and technology groups. He was responsible for all marketing and communications related activities including advertising, partnerships and alliances, promotion, conferences and trade shows, and media relations.

Prior to joining DMIND, Ferrari was General Manager, Business Development for Advertising Age, Ad Age International, B-to-B and Creativity magazines, published by Crain Communications Inc. There, he was responsible for new business, custom publishing, database marketing and management, association relationships and editorial reprint and international licensing business. He was promoted to this position in October 1999, from Director of Marketing and Communications for The Ad Age Group.

Ferrari began his career in 1978 at Media Records (now CMR) where he rose to the position of Production Manager, managing all administrative and control operations for generating advertising measurement reports and statistical tracking analyses affecting advertising trends. From 1988 to 1996, Ferrari was Senior Research Associate for Advance Publications' flagship daily, The Star-Ledger, one of the nation's leading newspapers.

Ferrari is a graduate of Hunter College, City University of New York, from which he holds a Bachelor of Science degree. He is President of the Business Marketing Association of New York, as well as serves on the Board of the American Advertising Federation and AAF's District 2 Executive Committee. He has also served on various industry committees, including the American Business Media CEBA Awards and the American Marketing Association EFFIE Awards, among others. He resides in Middletown, New Jersey with his family.

Erdos & Morgan is a full-service market research company offering a broad range of services to corporate America, the media, and advertising agencies. Founded in 1947 by Paul L. Erdos and Arthur J. Morgan, it is the acknowledged specialist in mail surveys and a leading supplier to the publishing community for reader surveys. In 1970, Dr. Erdos published Professional Mail Surveys, documenting methods to achieve above-average response for mail surveys. It is still considered the 'bible' to the research industry.

In addition to broad-based client custom research services, Erdos & Morgan produces syndicated studies such as Opinion Leaders, The Purchase Influence in American Business, and The Worldwide Professional Investment Community.

Beta Research Corporation has emerged as one of the premier research organizations in the US, with offices in Boston, Los Angeles and New York.
