QUIPS
BY CHRIS CONNELLY

- I made a deal
with myself a few years ago - and got ripped off.
- Always feel with
your heart although it's better with your hands.
- Getting married
probably stunted my growth.
- If you haven't
got a hernia yet, you ain't pulling your share.
- Resentment is like
drinking poison and waiting for the other person to die.
- If you're overwhelmed,
break it into pieces.
- If you spend 2
minutes a day brushing your teeth for the next 50 years, you will spend
600 hours brushing.
- Did you know Shakespeare
plays contain 29,066 words - 40 words make up 40% of the texts of his
plays. James Joyce's Ulysses contains almost the same number of different
words - 28,899 - but just 135 words make up 1/2 the text.
- If you spend 15
minutes a day in baseball season reading box scores over the next 50
years you will spend 2,187 hours reading them - 55 weeks - more than
a year of 8-hour workdays.
